Peel police have arrested the driver of a minivan after they allege a driving stunt in Mississauga went wrong.
A teenager was sent to hospital with serious head injuries after falling from the back of minivan Saturday evening, in what police say appears to be a case of car surfing.
Peel EMS received a call to the parking lot of the Square One Mall shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday, where they located the injured teen, who was transported to Trillium Health Centre.
The Toronto Star reports tire treads from the minivan suggest it was making sharp turns when the teen fell.
Police have seized the vehicle for investigation and the driver has been taken into custody for dangerous driving causing bodily harm. Police continue to investigate.
The teenage victim remains in critical condition.
